KW Institute of Contemporary Art is in a great neighborhood for anyone traveling with children. Our afternoon with the kids on Auguststraße in Berlin goes something like:

  1. playground by the skatepark
  2. bakery
  3. playground on the corner
  4. beverage 
  5. art museum 
  6. playground under the arch and through the courtyard
  7. dinner

The galleries at KW are a maze of basements and attics. The curators consistently show impressive video installation artworks. And the cafe courtyard is a treat! The pictures above are from my last visit when we explored the 10th Berlin Biennale. Steps away from the KW, there are three playgrounds, a charming toy store, and yummy restaurants. One day I will do a post just on playgrounds in Berlin…
