Tape Des Moines: Photos

Numen For/Use is a collective of artists based in Europe (starting in Croatia). Their art installations include organic forms made of translucent tape that are suspended in space. They are made entirely by hand and without any computer modeling. “Tape Des Moines” is Numen For/Use’s first art installation in the United States. It is situated in a light filled atrium designed by I.M. Pei in 1969 at the Des Moines Art Center. Walking around it or crawling inside it, the artwork has the potential to move you to another world and time. I visited with my children, and they easily showed me the imaginative and transformative in this artwork. Here are some photographs of our experience:
